Ingredients:
4 medium sized tomatoes blanched
3-4 cloves of garlic
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp asafoetida
1 tsp red chili powder
A pinch of sugar
Salt
Coriander for garnishing
Preparation:
- Remove seeds from the blanched tomatoes with garlic pods and make a thick puree in mixer.
- Heat oil in a wok.
- Add cumin seeds to the oil followed by asafoetida.
- Add the thick tomato puree and red chili powder.
- Give it a nice stir. Add little water or vegetable stock if required.
- Add salt and sugar as per taste.
- Garnish with fresh chopped coriander.
- Serve hot!
